For example, better railroads and other forms of mass transportation competing with the automobile will be better than the over-regulation we have had by well-meaning, but not omniscient commissions and bureaus. Food and other products will have stable prices only when government controls and quotas are modified to allow maximum production to boost supplies and to encourage en-courage more active sales competition in the marketplace. The growihgi energy crisis results from government over-regulation of existing sources and the opposition which has slowed the development of nuclear power and delayed its emergence as a truly competitive means of obtaining energy. The public has always benefited most when the profit and loss market system functions freely and when government gov-ernment regulation is limited to assuring fair play. Open letter Citizen comments on carelessness of adults in re-scattering litter I was surprised to see a car stop in front of our home about a mile south of Springville. Out scampered a half dozen boys about 10 or 11 years old and a lady who evidently was their teacher. Pretty soon large white and blue plastic bags were distributed and the boys were given their instructions. They scattered along both sides of the highway picking up everything they could see. Pretty soon there were about six large bags filled leaning against our mail box and the happy group moved on. I commented to my husband, "Too bad it isn't tonight." By evening the road was completely littered with limbs, bushes, paper boxes and etc. that careless adults had lost from their load going to the dump yard. I really felt bad. It is against the law to take garbage to the dump without being securely covered. These little boys were so prowd of themselves for what they had done only to be undone by careless adults. ' I feel it my duty to report such people. On their way back home, , they know the garbage they have lost, but don't take the time to pick it up.
