Brian, with the score tied 14-14, 14-14, put the Red Devils into the lead with a pin in his weight division. He wrestles in the 155 lb. division and does an outstanding out-standing job. In three Region IV matches he has pinned his opponent op-ponent every time. Dennis Wilson won the award against Orem. With the Red Devils ahead by a slight margin, 6-5, he pinned his man making it 11-5 which set the stage for his teammates as they went on to blitz the Orem Tigers 30-14. Coach Elliott Jordan and his Springville Red- Devils have been pointing for their decisive contest with the Payson Lions here Friday night knowing full well that unless they win this contest, they will have little hopes left of landing a trip to the state finals come the end of the season. Tipoff time will be at 6:15 for the junior varsity with the varsity contest being played at 8 p.m. Payson is undefeated in league play to date and the Devils yet are looking for a victory. Both clubs have played two games. Coach Jordan hopes to have his team mended by Friday barring any more ankle sprains. Nearly all his club had sprained ankles during the past week's contest. Devils walloped The Red Devils were swept up in a whirlwind of baskets and defensive dust that proved to be most devastating last Wednesday at Provo when they found themselves at the bottom of an 83-34 count at the final buzzer at Provo. Not one Red Devil was able to score in double figures and with four Bulldogs shelling the hoop with 21, 18, 13, and 10 points, the game was a run-away from the beginning. Springville scored only 4 points in the first quarter and only that many to top off the final quarter. Hitchcock hit 9 for top honors for Springville. The sleigh rides are a popular winter activity for families, and offer a chance to see elk at close range. Primary purpose of the ranch' is to provide a wintering ground for elk thus keeping them out of the agricultural areas of Cache County. The ranch is also an excellent trapping site where Division biologists can tag and mark elk to learn their seasonal movements. Research is currently underway at the ranch to determine reproductive capacity and methods of increasing in-creasing production.
