' Circular-cut skirts for both dresses and suitrof Adele Simpson's Simp-son's design are slim when static, full-flared when mobile. They owe this elasticity to pleats stitched for control a control whith will see these dresses and suits safely through drycleaning. Typipal of the distinctive fabrics fa-brics used for these fashion are the silks shown in julep-green Just Between Us By NANCY MOTTRAM Sometimes you think it's hopeless. hope-less. No matter what you think, or how you feel, or what you want to do, "they just can't, or won't, see it your way. You might i well be iust another oiece of furniture around the house as far as anyone else is concerned You're tired of being brushed off when you have something to say, and even when you're vitally interested in a question up for discussion, you never get to add your two cents' worth. You've about decided that you can't Xyin. Arguments get you nowhere, fast, and if you try to bring a matter up to your parents or even your best pals, ou never quite finish. You could sit back and let the World revolve around you, but people who do that are forgotten In nOvtime. You have to keep pace with everyone else, if you're going toXcome out anywhere any-where near the top. You're not asking to decide the fate of nations. Youl just like to be considered an individual, and be given credit for halving some brains and some of your own opinions, that's all. But every time you open your mouth to state facts like these, you're reminded re-minded that you're still inxyour teens, and that older heads are wiser. x It's a tough situation to tackle. And it's downright discouraging when you always wind up on the losing end. But there's one consolation. con-solation. It happens to almost everybody.-It takes time and determination de-termination and plain persistence to convince the general public and your own family in particular that there are brains between your, ears, not air. There's a way of proving it. too. It takes time, but eventually it does get results. You want to be thought of . as an adult: therefore, there-fore, you have to act like one. You have to believe firmly in ' what you're fighting for, and pullj out all that old common senw to carry outyour logic. And keep a strangle hold on that temper, of yours, too. You'd give anything ; to be able to throw that vase at the nearest wall when the talk! isn't going your way, but if you j want to gain and keep respect,! EPSIE K1NARD, NEA Fashion Editor Wear Perfume As Accessory BY ALICIA HART NEA Staff Writer Wear your finest perfume as you would an ermine cape or a sable stole. But apply it so as to retain its elegance as a longer-lasting longer-lasting accessory. You won't be able to preserve a fragrance very long, if youdab it on hands, skin or hair or lingerie lin-gerie which have to be washed j often. But if perfume is applied to outer clothing at areas where I you run no risk of spoiling fabric, ' the fragrance will linger until garments need to be dry-cleaned. Usually the safest place to apply ap-ply perfume to fabrics is on inside in-side seams, inner waistbands, shoulder pads or pocket linings. A way to avoid the direct perfuming per-fuming of fabrics and still reap the benefits of more lastingness from a fragrance is to use scented pellets. ,To make these, a small wad of cotton is perfume-soaked and tied up in a tiny square of soft fabric which may be tucked inside of a bra, a girdle top or the lining of a handbag. count to 10 instead, and start all over. After a time, when, by your actions and your manner, you've proved that reason and thought aren't strangers to you, they'll have to give in and consider you and your ideas. You can't grow up overnight, but if you set out with determination, you can start to make a place for yourself with its privileges. You'll get there faster than by moseying along and drifting behind everyone else. If you have a school, family or friend problem, Nancy can help you. Letters are answered in this column.
