The officer is settng up a mental hospi tal for WAVE, W A C and women Marine patients, in which there is to be a fully equipped beauty beau-ty salon. Women have become so de penae n t on beauty parols for building up their egoes and lif ti n g their spirits , you Ruth MlUett sometime s wonder what women did to meet the small crises of life before every town had its share of beauty parlors. For the modern woman rushes to a beauty salon to talk hair dye or get a facial or a new hair-do the minute she recognizes the un flattering truth her mirror re fleets. Beauty Is Necesity It is to the beauty parlor she turns when her husband becomes mterestea in a pretty girl, or tinges his compliments with sarcasm. She goes to a beauty narlor be fore she has the courage to aoDly tor a jod or ask for a raise. And she wouldn't think of en tering a hospital as a patient wltnout first making certain she looks as well as possible no mater how awful she feels. So, no wonder a beauty parlor is Important equipment in a hospital hos-pital for women mental patients. If perfectly normal women find beauty care so necessary in help ing tnem to race life's problems, women with mental ills are bound to need it even more.
