Johnson, a rifleman with the 7th Infantry division, di-vision, is recovering in a hospital hos-pital on Guam from mortar shrapnel wounds in the left lea received on Okinawa during the early stages of the Invasion. Petersen, profes sor of dairy husbandry at Univer sity of Minnesota and a recognized recog-nized dairy research expert, sug gests that research into the, psy chological reactions oz cattle might reveal facta that would mean not only better milking cows, but healthier, more easily managed ones. Research at the university farm has shown that cows display self-conscious self-conscious tendencies akin to those of human beings. Dr. Petersen said. Two of these traits, common to nearly all animals, he adds, are the desire to rule over . others. Cows are extremely responsive to their handlers, the professor said.
