Stamps have been received this week by Provoans, who are urged to send their annual contributions promptly to Utah State Tuberculosis Tuber-culosis Assn. Mrs. W. Monroe Taxman and ;Mrs. H. B. Mensel of Provo are 'members of the executive board of the state group. They recently attended a meeting held at the hospital for tuberculars at Ogden, Utah. Countless cases of early tuberculosis have been discovered dis-covered by these units, as well as by the X-Ray units maintained maintain-ed at the hospital. Swander said the car, a 1914 Model T. averaged 22 miles to the gallon for the trip. He bought it in 1946 for $200 and recently refused $600 for it. ; State May Drop Charges Against Robert S. Harries SALT LAKE CITY, Dec. 11 (U.R) The State of Utah considered dismissal of the liquor conspiracy indictment Saturday against Robert S. Harries, former chief enforcement inspector of the liquor commission. Harold V. Leonard, president of the Associated Tavern Owners of Utah, Inc., was freed of similar charges Thursday by third district judge Ray Van Cott "r. Leonard was indicted with Harries. Har-ries. The men were awarded separate trials. Harries already has been convicted con-victed of bribery. Meanwhile, Cyrus V. Lack and his counsel were preparing a defense de-fense on state liquor embezzlement embezzle-ment charges. Lack's trial will begin about Jan. 20. The chances of a passenger be-water be-water carr'er. Sixth Ward To Stage Yule Play In connection with a combined " Christmas party of the Sixth ward Beehive girl and junior scout 0 groups, a one-act playproduction, "David," will be staged at that church Monday at 7:30 p.m. Under the co-direstorship ot Veloye Singleton and Colleen Sorenson, a four member cast consisting of Lorna Anderson, Robert Thayer, Raymond Hafen, and Oreon Olsen will present th play. The party will be held at the regular MIA session of the ward, and older groups wil hold usual class periods. Refreshments will be served at the Christmas gath- ' jering.
