Show Qrem Woman Organize New Civic Club With an idea towards an active and worthwhile women's civic dub for Orem, a group of live-wire live-wire women of that community net Thursday evening at the borne of Mr. Stephen Novakorlch to lay foundations for just such an organization. The meeting was called by Mrs. J, Erval Christensen,. president of the First district, Utah Federation Federa-tion , of Women's clubs, and the following women were elected to launch the new club: Mrs. Novakorlch, Nova-korlch, president; Mrs. William Cox, secretary; Mrs. Henry Falk-ner, Falk-ner, membership chairman; committee com-mittee on constitution and bylaws: by-laws: Mrs. L. S. Maycock, Mrs. Thoral E. Bigby, and Mrs. Ray S. HanXs. In explaining the working plans for the newly-organized group, Airs. Christensen presented a program pro-gram to cover cultural endeavors, civic betterment and personal improvement. Refreshments were served at the close of the interesting session. ses-sion. Woolf of 24 East 7 street, who has corn-all corn-all but 12 hours of work for an A. B. degre from the college of applied science. Miss Woolf will attain the goal of 14 years study in Provo Pro-vo schools this spring, com ing here, following two years of school in Canada. With a major In the field of bacteriology bacteri-ology and a minor in zoology and Spanish she is prepared to step into further training along these lines. Scheduled as the first step on her road to a career is work as an interning lab technician in the laboratories of Dr. Orrin Ogilvie, pathologist patholo-gist at the Wasatch laboratories labora-tories In Salt Lake. Miss Woolf will begin this work this summer. Besides preparing prepar-ing for this work through actual school study, Miss Woolf has managed to spend part of her busy school career in lab assistant work with Dr. Lynn C. H8yward of the BYU zoology department and worked with Dr. Thomas L. Martin of the bacteriology department and dean of the college of applied science. Among the activities due for the coming quarter will be the trousseau tea, spring emi-formal and other events of the Lambda Delta Sigma organization of which Miss Woolf is executive secretary. Four years of school have been filled with participation in the activities of this organization, or-ganization, including Dan-santes, Dan-santes, committees, dances, assemblies and many others. She Is a member of the Chi chapter. She is also affiliated with Phi Chi Theta, national honorary hon-orary business women's sorority, so-rority, and has participated in . the BYU chorus concerts.
