Bennett, Ben-nett, was in the first, M. I. A. 'presidency of the ward,' 40 years ago Later, he was a counselor under the late Bishop Manwar-ing. Manwar-ing. Formed in 1902, the first Fifth ward bishopric Included Bishop Moroni Snow, W. E. Rydalch and 'Ed. S. Hinckley. At that time, the ward's boundary lines , were from Center street to University hill and from University avenue, east to the mountains. Members met first in Room D of the B. Y. U., next in the Relief Society hall, and later, in the basement of the present meeting house. The ward was divided in 1920, at which time the Manavu ward was organized. On January 1, of this year, the ward was again divided, the Seventh ward Being formed. Bishop Bennett's counselors are Dr. Alonzo Morley and Orrin Jackson. ; -. , , .
