Too much cannot be said of the delightful musical comedy being given by the Provo American Legion post, according to stories coming from those who have sat in on rehearsals under un-der the direction of Chalmers B. Fithian and Rita Brooks of the Provo Conservatory. Several letters have been received from distinguished couples throughout the state, accepting the honor of being among the patrons and patron- esses at the event, which gives promise of teing an outstanding attraction of the year In Provo. Governor Henry H. Blood writes congratulations to the Provo Le gion post on its tag undertaking, and adds that "he and Mrs. Blood will be happy and delighted to act as a patron and patroness." He adds, however, that his present pres-ent state of ill health may prevent pre-vent him from attending the grand opening performance, set for the evening of March 1. Similar letters have been received re-ceived from Otto A. Wiesley of Salt Lake City, secretary of state; Pres. Franklin S. Harris, Mayor Jtfark Anderson of Provo; Carl A. Badger, brigadier general commanding com-manding the 56th field artillery brigade Salt Lake City, and Adjutant General W. G. Williams Wil-liams of the state of Utah. Dr. Frank T. Reynolds is general gen-eral chairman on promotion for the gala show, and Clarence Harmon Har-mon and George Ballif comprise the committee in charge of distinguished dis-tinguished visitors and guests. Some 40 invitations have been mailed to prominent people and acceptances are fceng received daily. A number of clubs and groups of friends have signified their intention of forming theater parties par-ties for Mar. 1 and 2, and already Amercan Legion scrip is being purchased, which will later be exchanged for the theater tickets. Coming as a new announcement In connection with the "Flying Along" performance, is word of a lavish fashion review which is a definite part of the show. Feature World Fair Theme An advance opening of the New York World's fair was featured in the theme for the B. Y. U. Val Norn invitational dancing party, held at the Utah State hospital ballroom Saturday evening.
