Rambeau Phone 494 Interesting Features For Women; Club and Lodge News PROVO (UTAH) SUNDAY HERALD, SUNDAY, JUNE 20, 1937 Stubbs-Bunnell Reception Pretty Affair of Season The marriage of Miss Lorna Stubbs to Lamar Bunnell was an event of Friday evening-. The ceremony was performed per-formed at 7:30 p. m. by Bishop Sharp Gillespie, at the Stubbs home, in the presence of the immediate relatives and a few friends. The rooms were beautiful with roses, peonies and other summer flowers. Following the ceremony a delightful reception was tendered ten-dered the young couple by Mr. and Mrs. Wilford R. Stubbs, parents of the bride, in the Edgemont amusement hall, where oOO relatives and friends were entertained, music for dancing being furnished by Stein- . eckert's orchestra The hall was beautiful with pink and white strea'mors and! baskets of lovely flowers. In the receiving line were the parents ot : the bride: Mr. mid Mrs. Ros- Bun- j nell; parents of the groom; Mrs. Erma MnrUen, :i-tor of thp I 'do. who acted as matron of honor and was lovely in white taffeta vith a black velvet jacket. The bride wore a white satin and lace gown and carried pink and white bride's roses tied with pink rib- j bon. Milton Bunnell, brother ot j the groom, was best man. The bridesmaids were lovely. Maurine Burmingham wearing blue taffeta. taffe-ta. Donna Stubbs in blue and white taffeta, Wilmetta Spaugy in pink net, Almeda Fountain in yellow net. Velma Bunnellvn blue fkffeta. and Bernice Stubbs in pink net. Rose corsages in corresponding cor-responding shades were worn by the entire group. A feature of the bridal march was an archway formed with peonies, by the bridesmaids and their escorts, down which two tiny flower girls. Roberta Mad-sen Mad-sen and Edna Mae Penrod, preceded pre-ceded the bride and groom. During Dur-ing the evening two solos were given by Elvis Terry, accompanied by Miss Helen Rohbock, and a reading was given by Miss Naomi Nao-mi Davis. The attractive bride-elect is a graduate of the Spring-ville Spring-ville high school, and has been a student of nursing at the L. D. S. hospital. Mr. Burton, a "Y" student for four years, and a Brigadier, is junior engineer with the State Road commission, com-mission, at present employed in Pleasant Grove. D. C, and later on the trip to the International jamboree jam-boree in Holland. The men will leave Monday with the boys, Mrs. Nelson is leaving to visit her brothers. Wedding Held Recently In Hollywood Word has been received here of the marriage of Miss Jean Jepperson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Jepperson of Los Angeles, An-geles, Cal., formerly of Provo. to J. S. Conlcy of Verdirgo Hills Estates, which took place Sunday at the beautiful residence of the bride's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Art Lloyd (Venice Jepperson) of Hollywood. The Reverend Rcbert M. Mun-ger Mun-ger officiated at the impressive double ring ceremony just at high noon, 30 relatives and intimate friends of the bride and groom being in attendance. The bride was given in marriage mar-riage by her father, and the couple stood in front of the fire place, which was banked with beautiful white flowers. A pair of hand-carved candelabra held 10 white cathedral candles on the mantel, and huge white satin bows hung from the mantel corners, extending to the large floor vases Qf white roses and gardenias. White flowers and tapers were employed in profusion aLuut the house. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Jepperson. brother and sister-in-law of the ride, attended the young couple. The bride carried white gardenias, roses and lily of the valley. A sumptuous buffet luncheon was served in the patio immediately immedi-ately following the ceremony, and the table presented a beautiful picture, here again, white flowers and tapers being much in use.
