Rambeau, Editor Phone 494-495 Club News and Leading Women's Features Goldbrickers Return From Annual Three-Day Festival ONE of the smart social functions of the past week was the annual Goldbricker spring festival, held at Wild-wood Wild-wood in ProvtTcanyon, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. A buffet luncheon was served to members of the party on their arrival at the private resort, Wednesday evening, and during the bonfire party which followed the pledges entertained en-tertained with a program of readings and songs. Responses in the form of a review of the club's history, were given by the alumni members. Following breakfast Thursday morning, the pledges were, initiated, after which sports and games were played, the feature of which was a mushball game between the pledges and the members, the latter team winning. Dinner was served at 2 o'clock, and the : : party motored to the Hot Pots in Midway, where swimmine and dancing1 were the diversions. Luncheon was served at camp in the evening and a bonfire party, with entertainment by the pledges, concluded the day's activities. . Breakfast Friday morning was followed by a hike to "Bricker Haven." A history of : thecltt.b was reviewed by Bob Allen, and luncheon was served.. Arrangements Arrange-ments were made for the purchase of lots by several of the members. The loving cup was presented to Carl Warnick and Miss Clarice Brunt. The group hiked to the falls above "Bricker Haven'' before returning to camp and preparing to return home. The gay event was attended by the following- members and their partners; , . Officers of Camp No. 3, Daughters Daugh-ters of Utah Pioneers, will tender a banquet Wednesday noon at the home of Mrs. A. Will Jones, in fconor of the honorary pioneers of the camp and their partners. Elmer Johnson (Lucille Maughan), who were wed last week, were honored at a reception recep-tion given by Mr. and Mrs. David Johnson, parents of the groom, Friday Fri-day evening at their home. A short program was presented, after which tasty refreshments were served to 35 guests. U. student, to Arnold Burningham, well known Provo barber, son of L. L and the late Emma'Lunceford Burningham. The wedding is to be an event of the latter part of July and will be held in Tuscon. Miss Kimball attended the B. Y. U. during the past school year, "where she received her master of arts degree with a major' in art. She is the first to receive the master's degree from the art department de-partment of this school. She received re-ceived her B. A. degree from the University of Arizona last spring. Miss Kimball has been secretary and treasurer of the Les ' Cecili-ennes Cecili-ennes social unit, vice president of the art guild and vice president of the Arizona club.
