Dec. 24 Six out of seven game; won in 8 nights is the retold ilu Brigham Young university basketball basket-ball team is bringing home to tii school as a Christmas jn-csent today to-day after winning their necond game Friday night from the Colorado Colo-rado college five, 55-34. The Cougars made a clean sweep of their college competition in the sci ies, the only loss being the one suffered at the hands of the Piggly Wiggly A. A. U; champs at Denvr. The Cougars won from the Colorado. Colo-rado. College Tigers on Thursday night, 43-30. Romney Shines Again Elwood Romney, the Pro-Vo Pro-Vo school's All-American forward, demonstrated that piling up points and rustling the ball is practically a habit with him. Romney was here there and everywhere on the floor to rustle and flung in 18 points. He was ably abetted by slim George Gourley who used his specialty of flashing under the basket bas-ket for shots to advantage, and. by Malcolm LeSueur on the guard line. Male accounted for 13 of the Cougars' points. f The Utahns maintained the lead all the way through the fracas and treated the fans to a fancy exhibition ex-hibition of long and short passing, trick ' maneuvers and "hell fer-leather" fer-leather" dashes for the, basket. The superior height of the Provo team gave them an advantage on passing pass-ing and on tie-up and center tipofi'o. The tignt man-for-man defense 3f the Cougars enabled them to bottle up the Tigers and the Pro-voan's Pro-voan's hounded the ball with a tenacity that enabled them to intercept in-tercept many of the Tiger long passes. , The score : B. A cameraman for NEA Service and the Herald was very much on the job, as is shown by these pictures. . At the left, Jim is gently depositing George on the mat after several sev-eral whirls of the airplane spin. In the next picture, George retaliates from that dizzy whirl Jim gave him by kicking the champion a hefty boot under the chin. And don't think that doesn't hurt! The third photo shows Jim and George locked in loving embrace, George on top and the referee patting him on the shoulder to signify that he has won a fall. At the right the two boys are at it again, George having gently tossed his friend and countryman through the ropes, and Jim clutching clutch-ing wildly at the mfor support. -0 AGGIE QUINT TO MAKE TOUR Dick Romney Team Meets U.
