Batty have returned to their home in Provo from Wallsburg, where they were honored by their family and friends Tuesday, the occasion being be-ing their fiftieth wedding anniversary. anni-versary. The Battys moved to Provo in 1923 from Wallsburg, where they had lived for many years. Their present home is at 890 West Fifth North street. Covers were laid for 89 family members and old-time friends at a 2 o'clock dinner at the Wallsburg Walls-burg ward hall. A large wedding cake centered the table and chrysanthemums chry-santhemums were used. The hall was arranged with pretty Christmas Christ-mas decorations, and a lighted tree stood on the stage. All of their seven living children chil-dren were in attendance with their partners and all of the 21 grandchildren were present also. A. son and daughter live in Provo, Albert Batty and Mrs. Dewey A son, Delton Batty of Wallsburg, Walls-burg, was master of ceremonies, and a-progrann toAttfiw .ixai-ings .ixai-ings and songs was furnished during dur-ing the dinner. In the evening, the hall was crowded for a delightful dancing party given by the family. Many guests from out of town were in attendance. Beautiful gifts were presented to the honored couple. Idaho Advertising Program Proposed BOISE, Idaho, Dec. 29 OLE) A recommendation to the 25th legislature legis-lature to appropriate $100,000 for the next biennium for advertising and publicizing the scenic wonders of Idaho in order to attract tourist spending, was presented today by Secretary of State Ira H. Masters. "Idaho could have doubled her tourist income if she had appropriated appro-priated a few. thousand dollars for advertising during, the past few years," Masters said. 'The little state of New Mexico gets $60,000,-000 $60,000,-000 annually in tourist trade while Idaho's income during the same period from that source was only $30,000,000. Lake visitor Friday.
