Rob-ertson. The text Ls interpolated with Bach's matchless harmonization of famous chorals written one and two centuries before his time. It is also interpolated with choruses chor-uses and airs described by German Ger-man writers as "reflective pieces," which form a commentary on the Biblical narrative. Prominent among the solo recitatives reci-tatives is the part of the narrator nar-rator or evangelist to be sung by Richard P.
