A total of approximately 2800 plates will have been sold by Wednesday night, Mr. Holt said this morning. This includes 2300 passenger plates and about 500 truck plates. There are only eight more working days for purchasing plates before it becomes illegal to drive with the 1935 plates on March 1. From that clay on officers offic-ers are instructed to arrest offenders of-fenders of the state law. Two additional employes have been added to the office staff in order to handle the crowds. Program Features Old English Music A lecture recital on old English music was given at the preliminary prelim-inary program of the Fourth ward M. I. A. Tuesday evening. Homer Wakefield prepared the program and illustrated his discussion at the piano with examples of original orig-inal music by William Byrd. Giles Farnaby and Henry Purcell. A string quartet under Mr. Donald Olson's direction assisted. Mr. Wakefield said that we have considered the Elizabethan period the "golden age of English literature," but failed to appreciate appre-ciate the remarkable musical development de-velopment of that time. He predicted pre-dicted that as the works of William Byrd becomes more familiar he will be ranked as the greatest of English composers. It is very likely that the Tuesday Tues-day night performance was the first of its kind in Utah. Death was caused from complications following fol-lowing an operation. Friends may call at the family residence prior to the funeral. Burial will be in the Provo city cemetery. Petition Filed to jfeell Loose Property Court authority to sell a business busi-ness location in Payson which is part of the C. E. Loose estate, now held in trust to settle obligations to. the defunct Provo Commercial and SavingB bank, is sought in a petition filed Wednesday in the Fourth district court. Herbert Taylor, bank examiner, examin-er, and Preston G. Peterson, trustees of the estate, believe the offer of $2500 for the property should be accepted. Duke Page, who made the offer, will also assume as-sume all taxes due and unpaid. The court is asked to fix a date for hearing the petition and for final authority to transfer the property. No date for hearing the petition peti-tion on the compromise offer made by the Loose interests to settle their idebtedness to the bank, has yet been set in the Fourth district court.
