Johnson (Beth Man yum) arrived in Provo Wednesday night from Washington, Washing-ton, D. C, to spend a week with Mrs. Johnson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. Lester Man gum. Dr. Johnson graduated from the George Washington Medical school this spring, and will intern in the l, S. Marine hospital at Baltimore, Md He is a member of the Smith, Russell, Reed Honor society. Before coming here, the couple visited in Mesa, Ariz., with Mr. Johnson's people, -and together, they spent a week at Santa Monica, Mon-ica, Cal. :: Regular Club Session Enjoyed Mrs. Afton Wagstaff entertained enter-tained Tuesday evening at her home for members of the Gleck Auf club. Bridge was followed by a delicious delic-ious luncheon, and the delightful affair was attended by Mrs. Florence Flor-ence Dangerfield-and Mrs. Tillie Dixon, guests, and the following members: Mrs. Vesta Booth, Mrs. Lolfcta Dixon, Mrs. Rhea B. Burr, Mrs. Irene Johnson, Mrs. Inez Dennison and Miss Eva Hendrich-sen. Hendrich-sen. The high score - prize was won by Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Burr won the second favor, and the consolation conso-lation award went to Miss Hen-richsen. Hen-richsen. Pythian Sisters At Regular Meet A meeting of the Pythian Sisters Sis-ters of Provo temple No. 9 was held at the K .of P. hall Tuesday evening, with Mrs. Alberta Nim-er, Nim-er, most excellent chief, in charge. Mrs. Pearl McAuley and Mrs Anna Carter, representatives from the Provo temple to the grand temple held in Ogden recency, re-cency, made their reports. Fifteen Fif-teen members were present. Marriage Is Announced By Couple Mrs. Florence Gines wishes to announce the marriagre of her daughter, Reta, to Kenneth Wade Cummings of Heber City, son of Mrs. L. P. Vickers of Payson, which took place June 17 at Heber. He-ber. The bride graduated from the B.Y.U. in 1931, where she was prominent in music and dramatic circles. She was a member of the Theta Alpha Phi, also, the Deca Sema Fe social unit. Since graduating, grad-uating, she has taught in Duchesne Du-chesne county, and last year in Delta, Millard county. The couple will reside in Heber, where Mr. Cummings in employed. em-ployed. During the evening of dancing, the Johnson sisters entertained en-tertained with vooal and instrumental instru-mental music, and delicious refreshments, re-freshments, were served. Fathers, Sons Planned Preparations are under way to bold a fathers' and sons' outing for the Aaronic priesthood of the Utah stake at Balsam park, Hobble Hob-ble Creek canyon, Saturday, June 29. Committees consisting of ward priesthood supervisors are already at work under the direction of I. E. Brockbank, general chairman from the stake high council. It is planned to begin the afternoon after-noon sports program at 2:30 with a varied fist of events including baseball, softball, miniature airplane air-plane flying, archery, foot races, volley ball.. The headline attraction attrac-tion is a soft ball game between two picKed teams, fathers vs. sons. In the evening a bonfire party and program will ind up the day's outing. All boys holding the Aaronic priesthood, deacons, teachers and priests together with their fathers are requested to make preparations to attend this outing.
