Show V A4 Wednesday, May 2, Obituaries Wallene Workman Green Passed away April 30, 2007. She was born Nov. 17, 1936 to Walter Spendlove Workman and Lillian Atkin Workman in St. George, Utah. Wallene spent her growing years in Hurricane and graduated in 1955. In 1956 Wallene married Ray D Neilson and they later divorced. Wallene married and divorced Lee Crowson, and married mar-ried and divorced Truman Allred. She then met and married the love of her life, Ben Green. Wallene loved sewing, making coats for the needy and she loved the people of the ward. Asayoung girl, Wallene loved working with her father on the farm. Wallene is survived by her husband Ben Green of Vernal; Raelene (Henry) Postma of Leroy Warburton 1938-200? Leroy Warburton, 69, passed away on April 26, 2007 in Sandy, Utah. He was born April 3, 1938 in Lapoint, Utah, to Floyd and Eva Warburton. He married Judy Swain August 25, 1958 in Vernal, Utah. Leroy worked for Chevron Oil for 34 years. He loved the mountains, cutting wood, and long rides to Wolfcreek with his wife Judy. He is survived by his wife, Judy; two daughters Debby (Scott Ellerbeck), Holly (Todd Rodocker); grandchildren, Nick (Stephanie) Ellerbeck; April Ellerbeck; brother Vearl (Rhea) Warburton; sister Helen Clark, Vernal. Mary Dean Madsen Hunt Hamblin ,v, Age 87, went quietly into the arms of the Lord, her husband . and many loved ones on a beautiful beau-tiful Sabbath evening, April 29, 2007 at the Basin Care and Rehabilitation Re-habilitation Center in Roosevelt, surrounded by family. She was born Nov. 18, 1919 to Nephi and Mary Jane Baldwin Madsen in Monroe, Utah, the sixth child in a family of nine children. She lost her father, whom she adored, at the age of eleven. She married George Wesley Hunt in Richfield, Utah on April 3, 1936. Not long after . the birth of their first child they moved to the Uintah Basin and became farmers. Together they had five children. They were later divorced. She married Remo Kermit Hamblin on August 24, 1958 ; in Pleasant Grove. He was also a farmer in the Montwell ; area. Their marriage was later ; solemnized in the Provo Utah Temple. He passed away on May 30, 1993. She was an active member of I The Church of Jesus Christ of j Latter-day Saints and over the j years served faithfully in may ' callings: in the Relief Society ! Presidency, the Primary Presi-; Presi-; dency,theMIA(YoungWomen's), as a Visiting Teacher, Primary teacher and one of her favorite callings - a Nursery Leader. . Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 2, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Vernal 2nd Ward LDS Chapel. Friends and family may call Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Thomson-Blackburn Vernal Mortuary and one hour prior to services at the chapel. Burial will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery, under the direction of Thomson-Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. Leroy Warburtpn He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marile (Willis) Abegglen. Mary Dean Madsen Hunt Hamblin three years and absolutely loved it. She had to quit because of deteriorating health. She loved homemaking (as anyone entering her home can attest to), gardening, quilting, snowmobiling and cooking, especially espe-cially for large family gatherings. She loved camping and fishing trips with her family. She and Remo were often seen taking a group of grandchildren camping or out to eat. They loved getting their Christmas trees with family fam-ily in the mountains. They traveled the world, visiting such places as Russia, Egypt, Israel, Italy, Finland, Canada, Turkey, Tur-key, Guatemala, Peru, Mexico, Hawaii and went on several cruises, one a luxury cruise on a paddle-boat on the Mississippi. They took family members on many of their trips. She loved to read. She read the classics to her children around the old coal stove on cold winter evenings. She collected poetry, enjoyed music and could beat just about anyone in Scrabble. When she was raising her children, every night was "Family Night". He was born June 29, 1929 to Daniel Lopez Sr. and Rachel Trujillo. Daniel married Betty Ness; later divorced. He married Verna Hackford; they later divorced. He then married Revella Kimball; later divorced. Daniel was a member of the St. James Parrish Catholic Church and an active member of Knights of Columbus foryears. He proudly proud-ly served in the military and was part of the 307th Bomber Wing squadron, 79th Bomber squadron and 15 Air Force. He retired as a Master Sergeant. Daniel is survived by children: Barbara Ann DePriest, Steven Lopez, Kila (Tom) Wood, Jody Lopez, and Kelley Marie Olivas; stepchildren: Ray Murray, Lana Bonnet, Gala Griswold, Kathy Roberts and Marilyn Baker. He is preceded in death by his Clifton (Shane) Carpenter Shane passed into the presence pres-ence of his Lord on. April 26, 2007 at his home, of a lingering illness. Hewas born on June 6, 1947 in Louisiana. Shane married Leta . Greenhow Montgomery on Sept. 3, 1978. Shane worked hard in the oil and gas industry for 35 years, and Smith's Food for 2 years. Shane's outstanding characteristics charac-teristics were giving sacrificially and expressing love for his Lord and loved ones. She is also survived by a sister, Katie Piatt, St. George; brothers, broth-ers, Charles (Maydene) Madsen,. Junction, Utah; and Bob Madsen, Venice. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, brothers Paul and Ray Madsen, sisters, Pauline Madsen, Fern Madsen Mad-sen Wooley and Elva Madsen Christensen, daughter-in-law, Fontella Howes Hunt and greatgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, Kyler Dean May-gen, May-gen, Norma and Alexis Mylena Weakley and Nathaniel Nickolas Hunt. For further information call 435-637-7200 Ext. 7. ECCBU Lola Brandt Edrington Was born Nov. 1, 1930, in Tridell, Utah to Claren James Brandt and Dorothy Anderson Brandt. After a very courageous battle with cancer, Lola passed away quietly in the early morning morn-ing hours on April 26, 2007, surrounded sur-rounded by her loved ones. She married Ronald W. Edrington June 3, 1950 in Elko, Nev.and their marriage was later solemnized in the Vernal Temple, Jan. 4, 2007 for Time and all Eternity. Lola was the longest living cancer survivor for the Uintah Basin at the 2006 Relay for life. She was cancer free for nearly 49 years. Lola was born and raised in Tridell, Utah. She was one of ten children and was a twin. She loved her family, loved being a mother of three, grandmother often and great-grandmother of 14. Her family was her life and her greatest joy. Lola retired from the Antlers Motel after 30 years. She was a homemaker. She loved doing volunteer vol-unteer work. She was a member of the Vernal 4th ward and served as a visiting teacher for many years. She helped with compassionate compas-sionate service for 12 years. Lola was a member of the Jensen Auxiliary unit 124 for 31 years and served in many positions in the auxiliary and volunteered for most of their functions up until she was diagnosed di-agnosed with cancer. She also volunteered in the Vernal Rodeo. Lola could easily talk to anyone. primrose, globemallows, bis-cuitroot, bis-cuitroot, penstemon, and other herbaceous species.
