Show .Vernal Express, UHS Wrestling at a glance Dinner and a Movie to be neia lnreoruary Uintah traveled to Green River after the Christmas Holiday, where they took second sec-ond in the Tholman Memorial Tournament hosted by Green River High School. They took second place behind Wyoming powerhouse Star Valley. "The team really started to show," said Coach Stensgard. "We love to travel and see the best teams from all around." State is right around the cor ner for the Utes. Here is what to look forward to: Park City Dual (Senior Night) Uintah Thursday, Jan. 26. Wasatch Dual in Heber Friday, Jan. 27. Region 10 Tournament in Heber Saturday, Feb. 4. State Tournament at UVSC Feb. 9-11. It is time again for Dinner and a Movie hosted by the Uintah Recreation District along with Vernal Theaters, Davis Jubilee, Coca Cola and Subway sandwiches. Dinner and a Movie will be Monday Feb. 20. Dinner will be at 5 p.m. and the movie will start at 5:30 p.m. Bring the kids, receive a drink, a sandwich and sit back and watch a fun family film. Children must be accom panied by an adult. This is a pre-registered event. The registration deadline will be on Feb. 17 or until all the seats are sold. Cost per adult is $6.00 and for youth 12 and under $4.00. Don't miss this exciting event. Alumni swimmers to compete with varsity Saturday, Jan. 28 All alumni swimmers and any member of the community who still has the desire to compete, com-pete, is invited to participate in the Varsity Alumni Swim Meet Saturday, Jan. 28 at the Vernal City Pool. The pool will be open for warm-up laps at 8 a.m., and it will be the time for all competitors competi-tors to declare their events. The meet will begin at 9 a.m. "Last year we saw several outstanding performances from Uintah High School varsity var-sity swimmers as well as some of the finest Masters Swimmers in the Basin," said UHS Swim Coach Don DeCamp.
