Show .Vernal Exoress, Obituaries Diane Zelda Raie Johnson Harding Kemry Zelda Raie Johnson Harding Kemry passed away at the age of 77 years. Her parents were Hugh Johnson and Victoreen Eaton (maiden name). She was born in Vernal on October 24, 1926 and passed away in Draper, Utah on May 24, 2005. She was buried by Thomson - Blackburn Vernal Mortuary on May 27, 2005. O'Driscoll Kitchens Diane O'Driscoll Kitchens, age 52, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2005, peacefully peace-fully in her home. She was born on May 18, 1953 to Don and Anita O'Driscoll in Salt Lake City. She was the third child of seven children. She married Lemuel Kitchens on Dec. 24, 1980 in Vernal. Diane enjoyed going camping, camp-ing, hunting and fishing. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Unable to have children of her own, she treasured her many nieces and nephews. She is survived by her husband, hus-band, Lemuel; her brothers and sister, Lonnie (Robin) O'Driscoll, Bill O'Driscoll, I- -T ' ' ' I '"'v. - J t ' y Diane O'Driscoll Kitchens Kelly (Jeannie) O'Driscoll, Brent (Jeanette) O'Driscoll and Vicki (Corey) Hull. She is preceded in death by both her parents, and her sis-, ter, Donita. Funeral services were held Monday, July 18, 2005 at 12 noon. Burial was located at the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of Thomson-Blackburn Thomson-Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. The family of Bill Curry would like to extend its thanks and appreciation to the Uintah County Sheriff's Department, Search and Rescue, neighbors, and friends who assisted in the search for Bill. Thank you to those who brought food and other items and the Maeser 3rd Ward for their support and to those we may have missed. Love and appreciation to Steve Evans and 'our other family', the staff at KVEL KLCY, Joe and Teddie Evans, Lincoln Brown for conducting the family service, Rita Kremin, Mike and Doris Goddard, Corena Smith, Deseret Power, Gary Showalter, The Vernal Area Chamber of Commerce and the Dina Mites, The Elks Lodge, and The Vernal Rotary Club. Easy to use Easy to read User friendly To advertise with us call 1-888-249-6920 Jay Lincoln Searle Jay Lincoln Searle, longtime long-time Vernal resident stockman, stock-man, contractor and businessman, busi-nessman, passed away at his home Monday, July 18 due to natural causes. He was born December 9, 1914 in Vernal, the son of Raymond Milton Searle and Zina Batty. Jay was the father of Vickie Edgerton of Anderson, S.C. and Terry (Sherrie) of Vernal Jay was also step-father to Dale Ross (Carillon) of Vernal, Glade Ross (Sharon) of Rangely and Darwin Ross of Riverside, Calif. He is also survived by a brother, Milton (Elva) Searle of Vernal; by grandchildren Jeff, Stacie, Trent, Brett, Brady and Kenny and by great-grandchildren Shyann, Trevon and Bradon. Jay served in the Air Corps in World War II where he met a lovely young nurse, Priscilla (Pat) Grant and brought her back to Vernal. Pat died of cancer in May of 1991. Later while attending dances at the Golden Age Center, he met Alberta Williams whom he married in 1992. They had ;i a m I Jay Lincoln Searle been married 12 years when she passed away in 2004. Jay Searle had a reputation reputa-tion as a very honest man in his dealings with his fellow men. He also enjoyed a reputation repu-tation as a good dancer; he was a regular at the Golden Age Center in Vernal and a frequent dancer at the Senior Citizens Center in Roosevelt. He was a very good-natured, cheerful man and was without peer as a story teller. Jay was respected and loved by all who knew him and will be very much missed. Jay was also preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, a sister and a great-grandson. great-grandson. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served several years as a scoutmaster. scoutmas-ter. Funeral services will be Friday, July 22 at 11 a.m. at the Vernal 3rd Ward, 475 West 100 North, with viewings Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Maeser Cemetery with military mili-tary honors by the American Legion. Services will be under the direction of Spafford Funeral Home.
