Six representatives of Uintah County's building trade and real estate interests are involved in this year's show of new home ideas which will be opened to the public showing accessible to those with pre-purchased tickets. Quality homes in a "planned neighborhood" setting are the trademark of Maeser Meadows, the family oriented development of locally owned building company, Timberhawk. OwnSd and directed by Curtis Jaussi and son Chris Jaussi, Timberhawk has built 25 homes of the 32 sites now sold. A total of 59 lots are designed in this unique community. Standard features in Maeser Meadow homes are low E windows, win-dows, blown in insulation, custom hardwood cabinets by Cardinal Cabinetry, refrigerated central air, built in microwave, spacious pantries, pan-tries, two-car garages, all gas insert fire places, 2x6 exterior walls and installations for future sprinkler systems. sys-tems. "We have both families and retirees retir-ees in this neighborhood," says Chris. The open floor plan homes are designed by Curtis. This uniquely unique-ly designed development permits no through traffic. A Maeser Meadows home with three bedrooms and two baths ranges between $118,000 to over $200,000, depending upon detailing and floor plan chosen by the homeowner. hom-eowner. Full basements are also an option. Carpet and appliance allowance permit per-mit homeowners to select exactly what pleases them. Sidewalks and curbs line the wide paved streets. . Cardinal Cabinetry, another sponsor spon-sor of the Showcase of Homes, is a newly opened Vernal design suite consisting of the combined talents of experienced cabinet makers Ryan Young, Andy Merrell and Doug Henrie. Cardinal Cabinetry features local cabinet specialist Udells as one of ,:: " Z'mrr . .' ? , . 4 : - vv'r' ' ' 1 Sculpturally detailed, this Showcase of Homes fireplace niche is a natural for custom decorating. its lines of cabinets and represents a variety of cabinet designs. All three owners have many years of experience experi-ence designing and building cabinets cabi-nets at Udells. "We're definitely kitchen specialists," spe-cialists," says Young, but adds that bathrooms, mantles, home offices, entertainment centers and hutches are among their readily handled skills. The company works in both new structures and in remodeling existing areas. Of particular interest to homeowners homeown-ers is Cardinal's extensive line of counter top surfaces ranging from granite and marble to more standard laminates. Located in the strip mall at 787 West Highway 40, Cardinal Cabinets makes Udell Cabinetry more convenient and accessible to the public. New home construction economy econo-my is stressed by Custom Homes in Ballard. Glendon and Brynnen Lamb's Fuqua Homes from Oregon are manufactured homes that have the look and stability of site built structures. Sales Manager Greg Leavitt says that the six to eight-week delivery deliv-ery time of the homes is helpful to homeowners. Floor plans are easily modified as are window and door placements and the homes can also be put over a full basement. Generally Custom Homes run $42 per square foot to have built. Throughout the Showcase homes, updated and sculpturally beautiful plumbing fixtures are becoming a design feature. Winnelson's fixtures are featured throughout Maeser Meadows construction. The wide range of designer water fixtures at Winnelson are joined by designer kitchen and bathroom sinks and toilet styles required by today's homeowners.
