Oral enjoyed spending time with her family and being surrounded by her many grandchildren She was an exceptional cook and was especially espe-cially known for her wonderful pies and baked goods. She was also an avid Denver Broncos fan. Oral was employed by the Uintah School District as a cook for over 30 years. She was a soft spoken, kind and loving person. She worked very hard for her family, doing without for herself so her children could have things they needed. She is survived, by a son. Dallas C ioodrich, of Piccancc Creek. Pallbearers were Bob Wctenkamp, Shane Corners, Dustin Cheshire, Jjy Wetcnkamp. Raymond Cheshire and Chad Mtrgan. all her great- and great-greal-grandchildren served as Honorary Pallbearers Tom Goodrich (grandson) gave the family prayer and spoke. Dorothy Merrell served as organist and provided prelude and postlude music. Invocation was by Verdin Goodrich (nephew); he was joined by Norman Haslcm and Terry Anderson singing "Softly and Tenderly," "In the Sweet By and By." and "My Father Knows." Verdin also spoke. Raymond Cheshire (great grandson) grand-son) read a poem Jerry Black gave the Benediction. Interment was in theVemal Memorial Park, directed by Thomson Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. Texas. She was born Oct 31. 1918. in Vernal, a daughter of James Chilton and Ida May Williams Nickell. Mrs. McKee was educated in Uintah County schools. She married mar-ried Harold Claude McKee May I. 1938. in Reno. Nev. Their mamagc was later solemnized in the LDS Lo Angeles Temple. He died Jan. 27, 1989. Following Harold's discharge dis-charge from the U.S. Navy at the end of World War II, they relocated to Riverside, Calif, where she lived for 52 years. Verda was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ tf Latter-day Saints. Gail Moore Ericksen Gail Moore Ericksen, bom Sept. 15, 1959. died Apnl 9, 2002. She was daughter of Bernard and lova Moore. She married Dennis Ericksen; they were parents of two sons, Dustin and Ryan. Funeral Services were Saturday, April 13, 2002 at the Glines Stake Center, conducted by Bishop Craig Monsen. Pallbearers were Ryan and Dustin Ericksen, Jarid Ericksen, Sean Jensen, Lynn Moore, McKinzie Ericksen and Matt Thompson. Glines 3rd Ward prov ided compassionate serv ice. Family prayer was by James Jensen (brother-in-law), prelude and postlude were by Melva Neumeycr (aunt), invocation was by Paul Ericksen (father-in-law). A quartet - Michael Schaefermeyer, Suzanne Orton, Jenet Spencer and Jonathan Baird; accompanied by Mary Schaefermeyer - performed "I Need Thee Every Hour" and "Abide With Me." "His Hands" was performed by Carlcen Abplanalp, accompanied by Rojean Bassctt. Speakers were Gary Moore (brother), Tim Ericksen (brother-in-law), Marti Ericksen (sister-in-law), and closing remarks by Bishop Monsen. Larry Jorgensen gave the benediction. Nickell, Erma Merrell. and Marva Merrell; two granddaughters, Aimee Nan and BeccaV. McKee. Graveside services were conducted conduct-ed April 16. at the Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside where she was buried Mike Bethune Mike Bethune. age 76. passed away Dec. 22, 2001. He was bom Sept. 12. 1925. in Electra lo Merida and lailah CofTman Bethune. Mike graduated from Gaston High School in Joinerville and was a college graduate from Texas Christian University. He worked most of his life in the oil tool industry. He was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ. Mr. Bethune is survived by one brother, W. H. Bethune. of Longview, Texas; sister-in-law, Nadean; brother-in-law lon Brady, of Gillette, Wyo.. and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his loving wife. Karma Rae Samuels Bethune in January 2000. Graveside services will be held Monday, April 22 at 10 a.m. in the Vernal Memorial Park with military mili-tary honors. Meet at the cemetery at 10.
