Martha, according to her story card, is the wife of Bethlehem's potter pot-ter shop owner. She minds the store while her husband crafts the wares. Her story tells of how she renews the energy of Mary and Joseph weary from their long journey to Bethlehem. Crafted in Italy by master mas-ter sculptor Clio Simonetti, Martha is hand-painted and made of an unbreakable un-breakable polymer. Fontanini Heirloom Nativities was already a world famous name in Italian craftsmanship for 65 years before it became widely available in the United States, through Roman, Inc. beginning in 1973. Roman, Inc. later partnered with Fontanini Heirloom Nativities. Since the 1940s master sculptor Elio Simonetti has created sculptures sculp-tures for the House of Fontanini. The collection is comprised of figures fig-ures ranging in seven different sizes from tiny miniatures to life-size sculptures. They arc found in the private quarters of Pope John Paul II, on display in churches and cathedrals cathe-drals around the world, on television, televi-sion, in films and in places of distinction dis-tinction in homes and businesses. Winners in the 12-15 age group during Rising Star Riders charity show are: Hillary Searle, 3rd place; Sadie Taylor, 2nd place; Clay Caldwell, 1st place, and Toni Moore (not pictured), 4th place.
