Swim team begins season by Eric F. Pye Sports Writer The Uintah High school swim team will be splashing into competition competi-tion this weekend with two different meets. According to returning head coach Kathy Worthen, the team will be more prepared than ever before. Men's Basketball League The Uintah Recreation Association is now accepting registration regis-tration for their Men's Basketball Leagues. This year the recreation department will be offering two different dif-ferent leagues. One league will be a Monday night league and the other league will be a Monday and Tuesday night league. . The basketball leagues will begin games on Monday, November 18. Games will be played at the Vernal Junior High School and league format for-mat will depend on the number of teams registered in each league. Cost for the Monday night league is $80 sponsor fee for each team plus a $12 fee for each player on a team. The Monday and Tuesday night league will cost $125 for sponsor fee and a $20 fee for each player on a team. Registration deadline is Wednesday, November 13 with a coaches meeting for all registered teams on the same day at 7 p.m. in the commission chambers on the second floor of the StateCounty building. Team registration will be accepted in the recreation office located lo-cated on the third floor of the StateCounty building or call 781-5486 781-5486 for more information.
