Show Multiple Park Permits ready for Christmas If there is someone on your Christmas list who enjoys boating, picnicking or visiting many of Utah's historic and scenic treasures, a Utah State Park pass may be the perfect gift. And Christmas time is the perfect time to purchase 1996 Multiple and Single Park Permits. As a bonus, everyone purchasing permits before March 1, receives a $5 discount for each permit purchased. pur-chased. "If the person on your list would like a card allowing them access to all of Utah's 45 state parks, the Multiple Park Permit is the perfect gift," says Mary Tullius, public affairs af-fairs coordinator with Utah State Parks and Recreation. The Multiple Park Permit allows the cardholder and up to seven guests, traveling in the same private vehicle, access during the day to all of Utah's state parks, from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 1996. The permit sells for $60 ($55 if purchased before be-fore March 1, 1996) and is available avail-able at any Utah state park or Utah State Parks and Recreation's main office, located at 1636 West North Temple in Salt Lake City. "If the person you're shopping for has a particular state park they enjoy en-joy visiting, the Single Park Permit is ideal," Tullius said. The Single Park Permit allows the cardholder and up to seven guests, traveling in the same private vehicle, access during the day to one specific state park, from Jan. 1, through Dec. 31, 1996. Single Park Permits sell for $30-$50, $30-$50, ($25-$45 if purchased before March 1, 1996.) Prices vary depending de-pending on which state park the permit is good for. Single Park Permits may be purchased at the park where the permit will be used or Utah State Parks and Recreation's main office in Salt Lake City. "Both permits are day-use passes only and do not discount the' overnight camping fee," Tullius explained. ex-plained. "The full camping fee must be paid by the cardholder and their guests who wish to remain at the park overnight. Also, the permit does not cover golf course fees at the state parks which offer golfing."
