Sheriff warns residents to Bock doors The Uintah County Sheriff's Department is advising residents to lock their doors and remove the keys to their parked vehicles. Deputy John Laursen reported two separate joy riding incidents July 29 and Aug. 8. The juveniles were arrested and referred to juvenile juve-nile court. In both cases the vehicles were recovered a few blocks away from where they were taken. In both instances, the keys were left in the vehicle and the doors were unlocked. Uintah County Sheriff Rick Hawkins said that by removing the keys and locking the doors in most cases discourages potential joy riders. Warrant leads to additional charges Last Thursday Deputy J.R. Oak, Uintah County Sheriff's Department stopped a female suspect on a warrant for failure to appear in 8th District Court. Tina Maxine Sole Murray was arrested. ar-rested. During the arrest, two syringes sy-ringes were found in the suspect's vehicle. It is believed the syringes contained methamphetamine leading lead-ing to additional charges of possession posses-sion of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
