Devin is the son of Terri and Rod Anderson. Dcvin is an 11 year old fifth grader attending Ashley Elementary. Devin has been swimming swim-ming with the Vipers for two years. He feels that his best and favorite stroke is the breast stroke. Devin enjoys en-joys swimming with the Vipers, playing basketball, baseball, roller blading and bike riding. Devin hopes more people will join the Vipers because it's a way to get involved. in-volved. Caitlin is the daughter of Ed and Jenifer Gudac. Caitlin lias a 'B' time in the 200 freestyle. She enjoys her affiliation with the Vipers where her favorite stroke is the back. As a fifth grader at Discovery Elementary, Caitlin enjoys other hobbies such as skiing, ice skating and hiking. Caitlin enjoys swimming swim-ming with the Vipers because it keeps her in shape and it's fun. Uintah Basin Bowling Association tournament The men's Uintah Basin Bowling Association recently held their tournament tour-nament awards banquet to recognize recog-nize winners and special recipients of an event held at the Dinah Bowl in Vernal and the Roosevelt Bowl and Fun Center. The following teams and individuals individ-uals were recognized: First place in the team event was Cellular One with a score of 3271. Players included in-cluded Brad Barney, Bill Banner, Jim Huff, Terrill Hunting and Jonas Grant Sr. Finishing second was Cedar Ridges Pro Shop with a score of. 3269. Their players included Randy Miller, Wade Horrocks, Steve Cook, Hans Parkinson .and Wade Rushton. Finishing third in J O Caitlin Gudac the team event was C.E.D. with a score of 3234. Team members included in-cluded Bill Wells, Gary Tidwell, Norm Behunin, Jeff Oaks and Jim Oaks. In the doubles event, Byron Tolman and Ed Forsman won it all with a team score of 1417. Leon Wilson and Bill McGaughey finished fin-ished second with a score of 1402. Rex Larose and Phillip Chimbrus took third with a total of 1385. The singles competition was won by Bill Bonner with a 737 score. Randy Miller finished, second with a 717 while Byron Tolman took third with a 706. In the all events handicap, Bill McGaughey finished first with a 2088 total. Bill Bonner was a close second with a 2064, just nipping Wade Rushton's 2062. The all events scratch was taken by Wade Rushton with a 1935. Bill Bonner finished second with a 1902 and Brad Barney took third with an 1801 total. The J.I. Anderson High Game Award given in honor of the namesake, who bowled the first 300 game in Vernal, was presented to Byron Tolman with a 279. The Jim Peltier High Series Award presented in honor of Jim Peltier, the first Vernal bowler to roll a 700 series, was presented to Byron Tolman with a 707.
