She helped the girls with walking, make-up and their interview portion of the pageant The girls went through two dress rehearsals, each lasting almost five hours to prepare for their big night. Pctra Jones hosted a pageant tea the morning of the show. The pageant was judged by Jill Stansficld and Tawny a Burt, both of Duchesne and Carolyn Roney, former for-mer Miss Wasatch, of Newport Beach, Calif. The judges told Owens that this was one of the hardest hard-est pageants they have ever judged due to the caliber of young ladies competing. Dixie Allen was the pageant's emcee. ! Just prior the pageant, the young ladies requested crowns from iBurger King. After Miss Lemon and her two attendants were crowned, .she went behind the stage and crowned each of the contestants with the Burger King crowns. The 1991 Miss Uintah County, Kristen Jensen and her two attendants, atten-dants, Lori Barlow and Emily Long, passed their crowns to Miss Lemon, Miss Dyck and Miss Snow. Prior to her final walk, Miss Jensen performed per-formed a song on her fiddle. According to Owens, "Everyone loved her." On behalf of Mayor Leonard Heeney of Vernal City, Matt Foley presented each of the contestants with a plaque in appreciation of their interest in representing Vernjl City and Uintah County in further pageants. Miss Lemon is currently enrolled at USU in her second year. She has taught several dance camps for United Spirit Association traveling for them in Washington state, Montana, Utah, California, Idaho and Oregon. She graduated from Uintah High School in 1991. Miss Lemon will represent Uintah County in the Utah State Fair pageant in September; Miss USU pageant in Logan this fall; and the Miss Utah pageant next spring.
