Tucker made a decision to issue a special use permit per-mit to the Upper Country Water Improvement District Dis-trict to develop two springs in the Cow Canyon area of the Roosevelt Roo-sevelt Ranger District. Development of these springs will provide a dependable de-pendable culinary water source for approximately 500 families in the communities com-munities of Altamont, Al-tonah, Al-tonah, Bluebell, Boncta, Mountain Home and Tal-mage. This decision also serves to amend the Ashley Ash-ley National Forest's Land and Resource Management Man-agement Plan by removing remov-ing the 5 acre spring development de-velopment site from an area identified in the plan as remaining unroaded and unharvested in this planning decade. "Over the past couple of years there have been several cases of botulism bo-tulism food poisoning from home-canned home-canned salsa," said JoAnn Mortensen, Utah State University Extension home economist in Salt Lake City. "Botulism is the type of food poisoning that will disable you, if it doesn't kill you first." Because of the serious repercussions repercus-sions possible with canning homemade home-made recipes, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) recommends that you only use scientifically sci-entifically tested salsa recipes specifically made for home canning.
