Presiding over the event were the royalty, Jesse Campbell, first attendant atten-dant and Chris Van Hauten, second attendant to the King and Pam Barber, first attendant, and Jamie Tinker, second attendant to the Queen. Guy Durrant, advisor to the junior class, announced all junior class members and the royalty during intermission. in-termission. Kelly Campbell, the previous pre-vious year's Queen, crowned Wilde and her attendants. The King and his royalty received a cash award. The class danced to the song "Open Arms.'' The theme of the prom was "Under the Sea." The theme was carried out with the song and in the decorations. A wooden replica of a sunken ship with fish, an octopus and a. treasure chest highlighted the gymnasium. The walls were shrouded shroud-ed with crepe paper streamers in gold and black. In the center of the ceiling, a mirrored, revolving ball reflected the lights in the room. Superintendent Vermon Barney announced that the new school building is about 75 per cent complete. com-plete. Judy Archibald, town clerk, attended at-tended the Municipal Clerks Convention in St. George last Wednesday through Friday. While she was there, she received an award for the "Clerk of the Year." She said that the convention was very informative and that Utah is scheduled to host next year's National Clerks Convention. The .Daggett County Democratic Convention will be Saturday, April 13, and will begin at 3 p.m. at the senior citizen's center. State representatives repre-sentatives will be on hand for the meeting. The senior citizens' rummage sale will be on Saturday, April 20 at 9 a.m. Donated items can be brought to the center from noon to 4 p.m. on weekdays. The local Aging Board will have its April meeting in the senior citizen citi-zen center after the regular noon meal on Wednesday, April 10. This sale will be sold in Fiscal Year 1992 and will be harvested over a three year period. Light re-construction of .5 miles will be done on Forest Road 10549. This road will be closed upon the completion of the sale and firewood removal. No system road construction construc-tion will be done. The Ridgetop U Salvage Sal-vage Sale and the Meander Mean-der II Salvage Sale are planned to be sold in Fiscal Fis-cal Year 1994 and 1995, respectively. The Ridgetop II Salvage Sal-vage Sale . involves clearcutting approximately approximate-ly 209 acres, with an estimated esti-mated volume of 2.0 MMBF. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Harvey, Layton, and daughters were visitors at the Carl Harvey home. Warren Wilson and Jonathan McKee, students' at Utah State University in Logan, spent the Easter holidays with their parents. Janet Merkley and Sharon McKee went to Rexburg, Idaho last week to attend "Mother's Week'' with their daughters at Ricks College. : Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Page met Sister Tammy Goodrich at the Salt Lake Airport. She was returning from her mission to Japan. The Page family then traveled to Weiser, Idaho where they will attend Sister Goodrich's report and will also visit with the Dennis Goodrich family for a week. Renae and Stephanie Ahlborn spent the weekend with their grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Ahlborn. The Ahlborn sisters live in Provo. Elder Orlan Wallace has received an LDS Mission call to the California, Riverside Mission. He will enter the Missionary Training Center on May 8. Murlin Wenzel, son of Velma Lyman, recently spent a week with his mother, and attended the funeral of his grandmother, Mignon Harvey. Wenzel lives in Provo.
