The best indication indica-tion of head lice is head scratching and intense itching of the scalp. If you suspect your child has head lice you will need to inspect the hair and scalp for the eggs or nits. The nits are whitish oval specks attached to hair shafts about 14 inch from the skin generally found at back of head and behind ears. If head lice are detected, don't panic. Head lice are not a symptom of lack of cleanliness or personal hygiene. Don't keep it a secret but inform the school so other students can be inspected and treated to keep the condition from spreading. Head lice are transmitted directly from one person to the other or contact with an infested persons comb, brush, hat, bedding, etc. When lice are detected a medicated medicat-ed shampoo will need to be used ic. Rid or Nix which arc non-prescription in a ten minute shampoo. Then a follow-up ten minute shampoo should be given again 7-10 days later lat-er to kill any hatched nits that were missed. Besides the shampoo being given the following should be don: 1) all other members of the family cxam- We have the perfect antidote for worry, anxiety 3 and stress JESUS CHRIST Landmark Missionary Baptist Church 288 E. 100S.
