He has also earned his Arrow of Light and Webelos badge. Alan was given a special plaque for completing all 15 possible activity badges. He is a member of Pack 244. She is the daughter of Bobby and Sabrina Harrison. Help with conference from Cabbage Patch A Cabbage Patch Baby Contest, sponsored by "Kids With Energy," a youth group from Duchesne and Uintah Uin-tah counties, will be used to raise funds for an April 5 youth conference. The baby contest will take place Saturday, March 22 at 6:30 p.m. at West Junior High School auditorium. Everyone who owns a Cabbage Patch doll or a Cabbage Patch look-alike doll, is invited to enter their baby. Judging will be in four categories with prizes awarded in each one. The babies may be entered in one or all four of the events. There will also be a surprise awarded to the baby with the best all around personality. In addition, a special award will be given to the students of a school group showing the most "Cabbage Patch Team Spirit." The school who has the most entries and the best cheering section during competition will win the award. Sections will be provided in the auditorium for each school. Categories for judging include: swimwear, evening wear, talent and career competition. The babies parents are to help them display a unique talent and also to explain the baby's choice of career while the baby is dressed in an appropriate costume. fry Cvit t&t IN ttH. XT Those entering their babies in the talent competition are asked to supply supp-ly their own props, music or other equipment needed for the performance. perfor-mance. The deadline for mail in entries en-tries is March 21. Entries may also be made at the door. The fees are $1.50 per category or $5 for all four divisions. Entries may be mailed to Kids With Energy, P.O. Box 2020 Roosevelt, Utah 84066. Kids With Energy do community service, peer counseling, and other projects to help youth gain self-esteem self-esteem and fill a useful role in their community. They have received state awards and recognition for their work under the direction of their founder, Rose Anna Miller. There are several chapters of Kids With Energy now active in the Uintah Basin. The basin-wide Youth Leadership Conference of April 5, which will be financed for the most part from the baby contest, will be at Uintah Basin Area Vocational Center. The conference con-ference theme is "Celebrate Life." Featured speakers will come from all areas of Utah and includes experts ex-perts in many fields pertaining to youth. Janet Wallis presented the review to a large crowd at the home of Ruthell Haycock. Co-hostess was Betty Stagg. Refreshments were served following follow-ing the review.
