He served in the Buenos Aires, Argentina, South Mission. Jeff is a 1982 graduate of Uintah High School where he was named outstanding athlete of the year. He will be attending Brigham Young University this fall. ' -HI 'I )V-V Landmark Baptists will host church gathering Vernal Landmark Missionary Baptist Bap-tist Church will be the host to the New Mexico Association of Missionary Baptist Churches Aug. 14 and 15. August 14 at 7:30 p.m., the Landmark Land-mark Church will also have a note burning service with Pevis Williams, pastor of Landmark Baptist Church in Farmington, N.M. bringing the sermon. Lunch will be served on this day. Pastor Herbert Watts invites everyone to attend the services as well as to visit Landmark Church, 100 South 300 East, on Sundays for Sunday Sun-day School, 10 a.m.; Morning Worship, Wor-ship, 11 a.m. ; 6 p.m. for BTC and for Evening Worship at 7 p.m. your life. God is speaking in the Bible when He says, "Call upon Me in the day of trouble. I will deliver thee and thou shalt glorify Me." Dramatic program set for Baptist Church The first portion of the program will feature an adaptation of a sermon ser-mon by the late founder of the university, univer-sity, Dr. Bob Jones, Sr. The second part of the service will be a play entitled en-titled "The Waterfront," about a young lawyer who bargained his soul to the devil in exchange for a pot of gold at the end of the legal rainbow. Ensemble members are: Ron and Janice Allen and Jay Bopp of Green ville, S.C.; Deigh Johnson of Memphis, Mem-phis, Tenn.; Angela Paschall of East Alstead, N.H.; and Greg Bliss from Rochester, Mich. The public is invited to attend the presentation. A dramatic program will be presented by the drama team from Bob Jones University, Greenville, S. C, at Grace Baptist Church Tuesday, Aug. 13 at 7 p.m. The longest sermon on record lasted 48 hours and 18 minutes. A congregation congre-gation of eight was still present at the sermon's end. Now in his fourth year with Continental Con-tinental Ministries, Hotopp traveled as vocalist, saxaphonist, and bus driver on the 1982 South Africa tour, and served serv-ed as assistant director on the 1983 tour to Scandinavia. In 1984, he directed a tour throughout the United Slates and eastern Canada. Born and reared in the Portland, Oregon area, he has graduated from Diola University with a Bachelor of Science in I'sycholojjy In May, 19M.
