Smith. Sherrie and Jerry have chosen to be united in marriage Dec. 7 at the Sheraton Inn. A reception will follow after the wedding. The couple plan to make their home in Vernal. 1,000 little dolls... The engagement and upcoming marriage of Earleen Calder and Rian Peltier is being announced by their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Calder and Mr. Hank Peltier and the late Glee C. Peltier. Earleen is a graduate of Ricks College Col-lege and has a degree in ornamental horticulture from Utah State University. Univer-sity. She is employed by a local engineering firm. Rian is a 1976 graduate of Uintah High. He served an LDS mission in Virginia and is currently employed as an electrician. The wedding will take place Dec. 8 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, followed follow-ed by a wedding breakfast. She has another that she found in Germany which was made sometime after 1880. Very few people sell antique dolls now, most save them as heirlooms. This year it's the Cabbage Patch Kids, a large Strawberry Shortcake and Baby Skates, a doll that skates. Included in her collection are dolls that are not typically considered "collectors "col-lectors items." She has dolls that friends and students, people she loves, have given her. These are very special to her. Two dolls that were her grandmother's grand-mother's are also very precious to her. She has needle sculptured dolls, which are nylon covering a filler and then the faces and bodies are sculptured using needle and thread. She has historical dolls such as Paul Revere; she has a set of the presidents of the U. S. which are very liny dolls; then there are the pickled prople, needle nee-dle sculptured dolls in bottles. Marcell Siddoway bakes cakes and gives one to each member who has had a birthday during the month. The new kitchen at the Center is nearing completion. It will be a great day for the cooks to have such a modern facility, especially after such a small one as they have been used to. The menu for Wednesday: meat loaf, baked potatoes, carrots, tossed green salad, jello salad, blueberry muffins and pineapple upsidedown cake. Menus for the month are available at the Center. Bingo winners for the week: Anna Pearson seven games, and Lula Chew four games. At the Friday night dance it was decided by majority vote to have the New Year's dance on Friday night as usual instead of moving it to Saturday, which is New Year's Eve. Make plans now to join the crowd for both the Christmas and New Year's dances, these are always gala affairs. Next Monday there will be a program pro-gram with songs by Kay Hunting and Enola Montgomery. Music always adds so much to the meals. Flour, honey and butter will be distributed to households over sixty years of age, Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the following days until it is all distributed.
