Michelle Peterson and Roger Crittenden will serve four-year terms on the board. Jacki Vernon, Jim Brooks and Mike Calderwood were each appointed to two-year terms. Dems plan fund-raiser State Sen. Ross Romero is slated to speak Sept. 9 at a fund-raiser for the Summit County Democratic Party. The event at the Wasatch Brew Pub at 205 S. Main Street begins at 4:30 p.m. "This is a great opportunity for people to meet their candidates for next year's mid-term elections and get to know a person on the Democratic state ticket," said Glenn Wright. a spokesman for the Summit County Democratic Party. Romero, a former representative, used to represent portions of the Snyderville Basin in House District 25. Romero is the state Senate minority whip. He is the featured speaker at the event, which is also a fundraiser for Romero's campaign.
