WEATHER HISTORY On June 25, 1988, extreme heat baked the Ohio Valley and lower Great Lakes region. Cleveland, Ohio, hit 104 degrees, and Ft. Wayne, Ind., rose to 106 -- both record high temperatures for these cities.
