Show Wilford Averett J - s X ." X ; - s '"'if ty- - s . BOUNTIFUL--Wilford G. Averett, age 73, passed away Thursday, Dec. 21, 1989, of complications com-plications of diabetes. He was bom Nov. 1, 1916 in Gooding, Ida. to George Henry and Geneva Prince Averett. He married Thelma Holland May 10, 1941 in Ogden. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He was an active member of the Val Verda Third Ward, where he held many church positions. He was serving as executive secretary to the bishop at the time of his death. He had retired from the UPRR after 33 years of service. He spent over 40 years in scouting, earning his Silver Beehive and Silver Beaver awards. He was an avid photographer. He is survived by his wife Thelma, Bountiful; children, Mrs. Keith (Lewilla) Criddle, Bountiful and G. Michael and wife Claire Averett, Lindon. Also, nine grandchildren, grand-children, one great-grandchild; brother and sisters, Clyde L. Averett, Portland, Ore.; Wanda WILFORD AVERETT Scothorn, Haines, Ore.; Betty Shuck, Baker, Ore. Funeral services were held Dec. 26 in the Val Verda Third Ward chapel. Interment in the Bountiful City Cemetery. Funeral directors, Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary. |
