His wife Lucile was always by his side as a partner in the business. As a young man, Stahle was a sharp dresser and loved to meet with the public. Putting out a top newspaper was his primary goal. Condolences flood office at news of death " have been acquainted with John for many years and have been impressed with the way he has made the ''Clipper" such a large part of this community. I have seen many changes and advancements in the newspaper field over the years, and John as always been a part of them. He has been surrounded by talented employees and those people peo-ple who support him. I admire him very much." He was chosen because of his commitment to his profession of keeping the community informed, and because of his work with others. "He would sometimes work 24 hours a day to be certain that the paper got out on time. He has always been one of this community's com-munity's hardest workers and most dedicated citizens. Elmer W. When I was growing up as a teen-ager, 1 played in a dance band Jack had. 1 became aware of his many talents and the number of instruments he played. Stahle was instrumental in furnishing an entertainment showcase. I remember carrying portable movie equipment for him so I could get in for nothing." We also played in a band at the Golden Years Senior Citizen Center. Jack played instruments as long as he was able. John Stahle provided the vision and drive to achieve the high standards expected ex-pected of the media. He worked hard on behalf of our community to provide a quality publication which not only addressed current issues of concern, but reflected our heritage as citizens of Davis County. John Stahle has establishes a community standard for which we are all grateful. His influence will continue to provide direction and inspiration in the future. Jim Cornwell Publisher, Murray Eagle was employed by the Clipper Publishing Company for a total of 48 years. I became well acquainted with Mr. Stahle and his lovely wife.
