Show A survey of the nation's farms to be conducted by government understand the costs of farming and ranching,' National Agricultural Statistics Service Administrator Charles Cuadill stated in a news release. Utah fanners are asked to cooperate coop-erate in the voluntary survey so they will be fully represented in the national picture. Responses to the survey questionnaires are confidential. The United States Department of Treasury has announced it will soon begin a survey of production costs and financial conditions on the nation's farms. On Feb. 10, local interviewers will begin contacting 26,000 farmers and ranchers nationwide, 169 of which are from Utah. The interviewers will collect information in-formation about the 1991 costs of production, debts and assets, earnings, earn-ings, production practices and other pertinent information. Survey information will be used to determine farm production expenditures ex-penditures and farm income as well as to assess farm sector debts, assets and cash flow key indicators of the economic well-being of farmers.
