The first is that they can be organized to tell a story and I you can use the audio soundtrack for narration. Second, it is very I handy to have that special vacation or Family Slide Show on vid I When you want to show it, you simply grab the cassette, put it I your VCR, punch the button and you're in business. Most folks don l I watch their slides often because it's just too much of a hassle. And I thirdly, video is a very cost effective medium. Let's say you have put I 200 of your favorite slides into a Family Video Album, complete with I narration, and you want to provide copies to several members of your I family. Video programs can be dubbed for just a few dollars per copy. I Try getting 200 slides duplicated and you'll see what I mean. There I are many commercial establishments that transfer slides to the Video I Format. They put them in a slide tray, set an interval timer and let the I system run as the slides are automatically copied to video. There are I some drawbacks to this method. For instance, all of the slides are I cropped the same and the time interval is identical for each slide, I regardless of subject matter. And we all know that some slides can be I looked at in two or three seconds, while others might take three time I that long. Ideally, the interval ought to coincide with the narration I the slide in question. Have you ever thought about transferring I slides to video yourself?
