The physician informed in-formed him that he had small pox and sent him to the detention home. Three other members of the same construction gang who are said to be suffering from the same malady. Manager Smedley has received a number of applications for the position posi-tion of telephone operator, due to a rumor that one of the present force is to be married in the near future, but when asked by a reporter which one it is, he was unable to state as he said none Of them had given him notice they were going to quit. 50 Years Ago in Davis County Nov. 17, 1939 Three motorists were tried and found guilty this week in the court of Justice William H. Holbrook, at Bountiful and were fined accordingly. according-ly. Carman R. Tingey, Wayman, Idaho was fined $25 for reckless driving, $10 of which was suspended. suspend-ed. Arresting officer was James C. Huber. Jess Bealey, Murrray, Utah, was fined $3 for driving his truck without lights. He was arrested by Patrolman John Visser. tRobert L. Haywood of Salt Lake City pleaded guilty to the charge of driving 60 m.p.h. in a 50 mile zone, and was fined $7. Patrolman John Visser made the arrest, also.
