Show Edith Marie S. Rotert LAYTON-Edith Marie Shepherd Rotert died SepL. 20, 1989, at the Humana Hospital Davis North. She was born Dec. 31, 1925 in Middletown, Ohio, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Shepherd. She married Ben C. Rotert, June 7, 1947, in Dayton, Ohio. They had been married for 42 years. She was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and liked bowling and to play bingo. She had formerly worked as a food service worker at HAFB. She had lived in Dayton, Ohio, Mobile, Ala., Harrisville, Pa. and Sumter, S.C., prior to moving to Layton. Surviving are her husband of 1.1 . Layton, two sons, Tim Rotert, Layton; Anthony Rotert, Clearfield; three daughters, Mrs. Tom (Sandra) Peltoma, San Aiigelo, Texas; Mrs: Andy (Cathy) Durham, Bountiful;. Mrs. Jim (Jan) Bird, Kaysville; 16 grandchildren, one greatgrandchild; great-grandchild; one brother, three sisters, Richard Shepherd, Middletown, Ohio; Mrs.' Harry (Thelma) Unger, Cloverdale, Calif.; Mrs. Elmer (Delma) King, Louisville Ky.; Mrs. Don (Francis) Wilson, Trenton, Ohio. She was preceded in death. by five brothers and one sister. Mass of the Christian Burial was recited Saturday at 10 a.m. at the St. Rose of lima Catholic Church in r Layton, and a prayer service was ! held Friday infthe Myers Mortuary Chapel in Layronfnterment was in the Lindquist's Layton Memorial Park. |
