Show Board studies extended day FARMINGTON-- The Davis District Board of Education is considering con-sidering adopting a policy for alternative alter-native scheduled schools , that will lock extended day schools into a program for a minimum of two years. The plan has received first reading approval. It will be considered con-sidered as a action agenda item at the next board meeting. If approved, school communities choosing an extended day model for accommodating growth should be prepared to implement the plan for a minimum of two years,. The school plan would be altered only if there are significant changes in the school age population to warrant discontinuation of an alternative schedule or the move to a model that would accommodate more students. School communities choosing a year-round school model should consider this plan to be permanent until there are significant changes in the school age population to warrant war-rant the return to a standard schedule and calendar. |
