Show Leonard honored - FARMINGTON-- Last week the Davis County Board of Education honored new construction supervisor, super-visor, Bob Leonard, who oversaw the installation of air conditioning in four elementary schools and accomplished ac-complished the work in time for the July 25 opening of these schools. Mr. Leonard said," While there are still some bugs to work out, and quite a few punch-list items to complete, the schools did open on time. I don't thirk we could have done it without fk;t tracking." Fast tracking saved money as well as time, $27,000 in this case under estimate. Total cost of the four school projects was $616,893. Of this amount, $70,000 came from a special grant written by Dr. Betty Ashbaker. "When it comes to saving sav-ing money, no one works harder at it than Bob Leonard. In the 1 1 years he's worked here, Bob has saved the District hundred of thousands of dollars in capital outlay funds,"says Dr. Dean Penrod, Assistant Superintendent of Schools. A licensed architect, Bob, did not complete all the required courses at the University of Utah. He got his degree studying mainly on his own. In addition to his experience working work-ing on projects with the architectural architec-tural firm of Montmorency, Hayes and Talbot This enabled him to. pass the final exams. |
