Others ignore , flashing lights andor drive into the side of moving trains, and- still others just plain do not realize that they should quickly vacate a stalled vehicle. ;v' w -s. ' : Of 23 deaths in Utah over the last five years, approximately 34 occurred oc-curred at crossings which have ' : gates andor flashing light signals..-This signals..-This means drivers drove around or through, the gates and ignored the flashing red lights at the crossings.' Several drivers tried to beat the , train through the crossing. Others " ; hit tlie train" as it passed through the : crossing. - ' , Operation Lifesaver educates the public to errors that lead to crossing accidents. IT should look before crossing tracks. One train can hide another moving train on multiple track crossings. Don't race the train. Even it is is a tie, you lose. Make sure one can get across the tracks. Watch traffic so that the vehicle does not get boxed in by traffic. . .
