Show Golden wedding party set" MELVIN R. AND FERN F. HEATH ', , , Melvin R. and Fern F. Heath will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary an-niversary on Saturday, June 17. Their children will host an open house in their honor that night from 7:30-9 p.m. at the 13th Ward Cultural Hall, 875 E. 200 N., Kaysville. Kays-ville. They invite all friends and relatives to attend. r. '' Melvin and Fern were married April 10, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The ceremony was performed per-formed by Apostle Melvin J. Ballard who. had been mission president - of ..the Northwestern States Mission and had married Melvin's parents. ' v v Melvin was born to .Clarence E. and M. Rose Bell Heath, Match 14, - 1913 at Hartford. Wash. He attended attend-ed Yakima Co: and Lewis Co. Schools, graduating from Onalaska High and worked over eight years in a lumber mill at Onalaska. During World War II he did aircraft air-craft work in southern California and Hill Air Force Base where he retired at the end of 1976. Fern was born to Joseph and , Eliza Anderson Fletcher Aug. 16, 1914 at Cannonville, Utah. She attended at-tended elementary schools at Hatch and Junction and high school at Circleville and graduated at Marysvale. The first ,two and one-half years of their -marriage they ' lived in Washington. During World War H they lived in Utah and southern California. The past 32 years they have lived in Kaysville. ; They have both held many teaching and leadership positions in wards and stakes of the LDS Church. They adopted three children, Retta Roxannedeceased;. Kathy Elaine Cox, Amarillo, Tex,; and Kevin Ray Heath, Salt Lake City. They have three grandchildren. |
