Show Regional Reflection Contest winners named 7 "V: v hi : :.y . '.If Im Davis South Council announced the winners of their Reflections Contest for 1989 on Feb. 22. Families Fami-lies and friends attended this event -as the winners performed and displayed dis-played their work. Nannette Hansen is the council president with Claudia Clau-dia Watson assisting as Reflections chairman. The council level of the Reflections Reflec-tions program attracted 130 entries from 10 schools. Those schools represented rep-resented were Boulton, Bountiful. Muir, Oak Hills, Orchard, Valley View, and Woods Cross Elementar-ics, Elementar-ics, along with Millcreek, Mueller Park, and South Davis Junior Highs. Nineteen entries were declared de-clared winners, with another 16 receiving re-ceiving honorable mention. The 19 winning entries have all been sent . on to the region level of the contest, which includes all of Davis School District. r In visual arts, honorable mention was awarded to Laurie Sweet of Valley View; Sean Montanaro of Orchard, and Andrea Blosch and Heath Pickett of Bountiful Elementary. Elemen-tary. Winning entries were submitted submit-ted by Valerie Walton of Boulton, Jean Montanaro and Carlos Montanaro Mon-tanaro of Orchard, Don Kilpatrick III of South Davis, and Mindi McKnight of Millcreek Junior High. In photography, Megan Baxter of Boulton was given honorable mention. men-tion. Walker Willey of Oak Hills, David Gourley of Boulton, Alan Gee of Valley View, Sarah L. Rir chards of Mueller Park, and Nicole Lee of South Davis were declared winners. Receiving honorable mention in literature were Matt Davis of Oak Hills, Randon Ostlund of Boulton, Rosemary Larsen tuid Sarah Ward of Bountiful, and Cindy Jones of South Davis. Winners were David Geurts of Valley View, David Dibble Dib-ble of Boulton, Jeremy Thomock of South Davis, Mike Nebeker of Mueller Park, and Alison Johnson of Millcreek Junior High, i Music entries receiving honorable honora-ble mention were Julie Wiser of Muir, Rochelle Terry of Valley View, Amy Ashton of Bountiful', Kellie Jacobson of Orchard, Greg McDonald of Oak Hills, and Megan Cahoon of Millcreek. Jillana WaU son and Jaimee Despain of Valley View submitted winning entries, along with Jared Becks trand of Muir, and April Clayton of Mueller Park Junior High. These students are Reflection Contest winners chosen from the 130 entries of the South Davis Council. Winning entries from the 10 council schools will be forwarded for judging on the regional level, which consists of the entire Davis School District. |
