Show Classes to help holiday fat If the Santa season is bringing you pounds as well as presents, look for help the second week of January. Slim for Life classes, sponsored by the American Heart Association, will begin the week of Jan. 9 in Davis and Weber Counties. Coun-ties. "Temptations abound. A low fat, high carbohydrate eating plan is prescribed which can be used enjoyably and healthfully while you lose weight and afterwards. Techniques are learned which allow dieters to handle environmental, environ-mental, familiar, social, and emotional emo-tional cues to eat. An aerobic exercise exer-cise program is encouraged with guidance and motivation. Registration fee is $50, but will be reduced to $40 if you preregis-ter. preregis-ter. Classes will meet one hour each week for ten weeks. Class locations include Woods Cross High School, Bountiful High School, Layton High School, and Davis High School.
