Show Society names honoraries assistant professor of lib science, president; Dr. Albert I Fisher, assistant professor of geography, vice president; and Dr. Richard J. Cummings, director of the honors program and associate professor of languages, secretary-treasurer. Kappa honoraries will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Union Ballroom. Dr. Myron J. Lunine, dean of the Honors and Experimental Ex-perimental College at Kent State University.will speak. Phi Kappa Phi is an honor society composed of students in all departments of American universities and colleges. Its principal object is to emphasize scholarship and character in the thinking of college students, holding fast to the original purpose for which institutions of learning were founded and stimulating new achievement through the award of society membership. Phi Kappa Phi, a national scholastic society at the University, has nominated 226 new members 6 honorary, 71 graduate students and 149 undergraduates un-dergraduates from senior classes. The six honorary members were nominated to Phi Kappa Phi by a special selection committee on the basis of outstanding teaching, research andor contribution to the profession both on and off campus. They are: Dr. Andree M.L. Bar-nett, Bar-nett, associate professor of languages; Dr. Alfred A. Cave, dean of the College of Humanities; Dr. Alton P. Hadlock, assistant professor of educational administration and director of adult education; Elizabeth M. Haglund, director of public relations; Dr. Ruth Jones, assistant dean of the College of Humanities; and Dr. William F. Prokasy, dean of the College of Social and Behavioral Science. The 149 senior students were nominated on the basis of grade point average; 71 graduate students were selected by grade point average plus nomination by their departments.
