Show Matrnen pitted against Oregon, Washing- Utah's wrestling team faces one of its most grueling weeks of the season, beginning Wednesday evening when the Utes host powerful Oregon State University in a dual meet at 7:30 in HPER Gym 101. Friday the Utes continue their suicide schedule when they host the University of Washington. Saturday the matmen will conclude their weeks work by entertaining the Wyoming Cowboys. Both Oregon St. and Washington were ranked in the top five in the nation in preseason pre-season polls. Wyoming is picked to have one of the stronger mat squads in the Western Athletic Conference. Utah coach Marv Hess feels that the most interesting match of the evening should beat 190 pound where Utah's Joel Savage meets OSU's Greg Strobel. Strobe! is an excellent wrestler, while Savage has posted a 13-2 won-lost mark this year. Savage, only a freshman, fresh-man, has eight pins to his credit this season. Redskin heavyweight Kurt Bellock, who is 11-2-1 this season, will have revenge in mind when he faces Beaver Jim Hagen. Hagen beat Bellock last year 8-3. Utah fell to Oregon St. 31-9 last season, but should provide a tougher test for the Beavers Wednesday night. Students may see the match by showing their activity cards.
