Show New master degree offered in Fine Arts j The degree of Master of Fine Arts will soon be given in the new field of administering the performing arts. The new degree will be given by the Department of Theater and College of Business jointly, under the direction of George S. Odiorne, ten of the College of Business and Keith M. Engar, professor and ; chairman of the Department of Theater. The purpose of the degree is to train producers and business j managers for the performing arts. Ken Burton, business manager for the Pioneer Memorial Theatre, s had similar training and two members of the Repertory Dance 'heater, Donald Michaels and Don S. Anderson, have taken Yale curses for the degree. These three persons have been acting as ' fecial advisors for the new field. . Tne courses will be given on an internship or apprenticeship basis 'lth almst equal time of classwork and working application. It 'J" w11 8Wvc to :it indivdual needs rather than a set course of study. So far, only one student, Craig Harward, has begun work in this ,'eld' but he said he feels that it can probably work in Sail.
